Compulsory insurance Driving
Without insurance, driving a vehicle is subject to fines, immobilization, and impounding.
বীমা ছাড়া গাড়ি চালালে জরিমানা, গাড়ি অচল (ইমোবিলাইজ) করা এবং বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হতে পারে।
Mandatory for automobiles and mopeds. Trailers are required to have insurance only if their Maximum Authorised Mass (MAM) exceeds 750 kg.
গাড়ি এবং মোপেডের জন্য বীমা বাধ্যতামূলক। ট্রেলারের ক্ষেত্রে শুধুমাত্র সর্বোচ্চ অনুমোদিত ওজন (MAM) ৭৫০ কেজির বেশি হলে বীমা বাধ্যতামূলক।
The insurance covers bodily injury and property damage. Bodily injury and property damage coverage applies to everyone except the driver who is at fault for the accident.
বীমা শারীরিক আঘাত এবং সম্পদের ক্ষয়ক্ষতি কভার করে। তবে দুর্ঘটনার জন্য দায়ী চালক ছাড়া অন্য সকল ব্যক্তি এই কভারেজের আওতায় থাকেন।
Technical inspection card (ITV):
Mandatory for automobiles, trailers and mopeds.
গাড়ি, ট্রেলার এবং মোপেডের জন্য বাধ্যতামূলক।
Includes technical details of the vehicle: loaded weight, vehicle weight, MMA, width, etc.

The date of the next ITV is noted on it. The date of the first inspection should be consulted on the registration certificate.
আইটিভি কার্ডে পরবর্তী তারিখ প্রদর্শিত থাকে। প্রথম পরিদর্শন করার তারিখ অবশ্যই প্রচলন পারমিটে সাজেস্ট করা থাকে।
It also lets you know if the vehicle can tow a trailer.
গাড়িটি কোনও ট্রেলার বেঁধে রাখতে পারবে কিনা তাও আপনাকে জানায়।

When undergoing the ITV/MOT, there are three possible results:
- Favourable
- Unfavourable: You must take your vehicle to a workshop
- Negative: the vehicle must be towed to a workshop
Vehicle documentation:
You must carry: national identity document, current driver’s license, technical inspection card (ITV), the circulation permit and optionally the proof of insurance.

If towing a trailer or semitrailer, you must carry its circulation permit and the technical inspection card.

Photocopies are valid provided they are collated (checked and sealed) by the directorate of traffic.

You must notify the directorate of traffic within 15 days if you change your address, and within 10 days if you sell a vehicle (indicating who the seller is).

Responsibilities
A driver is responsible for infractions violating traffic rules.

The owner will be responsible for infractions violating vehicle maintenance (ITV/MOT, insurance).
যানবাহন রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ (আইটিভি/ এমওটি, বীমা) লঙ্ঘনের জন্য মালিক দায়বদ্ধ থাকবেন।
The penalty for not wearing a seatbelt is for the person not wearing it.
সিটবেল্ট না পরার শাস্তি সেই ব্যক্তির জন্য যা এটি না পরে।
The penalties for not wearing a helmet are for the driver.
